OK, this is the only suggestion that involves spending money... But it means spending money on yourself to buy the clothes and household items that you were already looking for! Every item that you purchase makes a positive impact on somebody's life but there are a few ways to maximize your dollar's capabilities:
2: Pick the cause most important to you:
You might find that planting trees or gifting a goat is more important to you than funding a small business. We want you to enjoy the post pleasure-per-purchase possible, so we encourage you to pick the gift that's closest to your heart. Spend time perusing our 'non-profits' page or visit each organization via the links provided. When you've found the 'unique gift' that fulfils you send us a note or check the corresponding box.
Here's an example:
1. You check of the box that designates your $10 to Kiva
2. Within a few months the entreprenuer has made enough money to repay the funds.
3. Life Fibers receives the money and then re-invests it in another aspiring business woman; who then earnes enough money to repay the funds again.
4. Over time, your $10 has done $100 worth of good and has positively improved the lives of 10 individuals and their families.
5. BECAUSE OF YOU 10 women have been able to feed their children, leverage themselves out of poverty and start a better life. Kiva is truely the gift that keeps on giving.
Instructions:
After you write your Life Fibers blurb send the link to supporters@lifefibers.com and we'll send you a thank you note and a $20 Life Fibers credit. (This is in no way a bribe or a payment; it's just our way of saying "thanks!" * Life Fibers reserves the right to change or revoke this vouluntary gift at any time)
- All credits and reembursements granted after donated items are received.
- Life Fibers shipping reembursements include insurance charges paid. We STRONGLY suggest purchasing shipping insurance, as Life Fibers is not responsible for donated items lost or damaged in the mail.
- Life Fibers store credits are redeamable at both LifeFibers.com and Sustalux.com.
- Donors may choose whether their items are donated for sale (proceeds fund Life Fibers future initiatives) or for auction (proceeds go to one of our initiatives or to the project of your choice)
- Your donations are tax deductable and each donor will be emailed a printable tax deduction form stating the date and value of the donation. Donation receipts can also be mailed traditionally.
* If you have unwanted items that LifeFibers.com does not accept, we will be happy to send you a list of donation centers in your area that will gladly accept what you no longer need.
Instructions:
1. Send quick snap shots and descriptions of your items to donate@lifefibers.com so that we may review your items & determine whether or not they may be sold on the company website.
2. If LifeFibers.com accepts the clothing donation, the donor has the option of being reembursed for shipping charges or accepting a Life Fibers store credit*.
3. Send your donated items to the address provided below, including a note with your FULL NAME, CONTACT INFORMATION, LIFE FIBERS USER NAME, and APPROVAL CODE in the package.
4. Once the item is received your shipping will be refunded in a purchase credit and your photo and information will be posted to our 'supporters' page(optional). You will also receive a personalized thank you note from the LifeFibers.com team and a receipt of donation slip (or email) for tax deduction purposes.

Kiva is a lending program, which means that entreprenuers are supposed to pay the lenders back after they've earned enough to do so. (If they don't, the money is considered a donation) Life Fibers does not keep the money if & when it is repaid.
-We simply re-invest it in families in need.
